River Falls: 250 Years Ago
Presented by River Falls Public Library at River Falls Public Library
1776 TWO WORLDS, ONE YEAR When Americans declared independence in 1776, the future River Falls area was not an empty frontier waiting to be settled. It was part of a living Indigenous landscape-a shared homeland and borderland where Dakota (Sioux) and Anishinaabe/Ojibwe (Chippewa) peoples maintained deep connections to the land and waterways of the St. Croix Valley. While revolution transformed Britain's Atlantic colonies more than 1,000 miles to the east, the Kinnickinnic and St. Croix valleys remained part of a long-inhabited Indigenous landscape. The community known today as River Falls would not be founded for another seventy years.

Unforgotten Washington County Stories from the Korean War
Presented by Washington County Parks at Washington County Historic Courthouse Stillwater, MN
The Korean War (1950–1953) is often called the “Forgotten War,” overshadowed by World War II that ended just five years earlier. But in Washington County, it is anything but forgotten. Eleven local men were killed in action during the war, and their stories continue to live on in the memories of families, friends, and the community they left behind. Their service, sacrifice, and experiences form a powerful chapter in our shared history. Visit the Washington County Historic Courthouse to explore an exhibit that brings these stories to life.

Upon Further Reflection
Presented by ArtReach St. Croix at ArtReach St. Croix Stillwater, MN
While each of these artists work with portraiture, the true connecting points are found deep underneath. Viewers are asked to look again. Do you see it now? In Minneapolis photographer Miguel Joven’s haunting portraits, the images are intentionally imperfect, a quality he has spent years perfecting. Don’t be fooled by the colorful and sometimes humorous subject matter of River Falls painter Megan Riley’s work. Her still-life and portrait work oscillates between coverage and exposure. Minneapolis artist Eric Zuccola is obsessed with visuals and text. His collage and mixed media works are, “realistic depictions of uncanny things.” On view: October 8 – November 14, 2026 Artist Reception: Thursday, October 8th, 6-8pm ArtReach St. Croix’s Royal Credit Union Foundation Gallery Hours ALWAYS FREE AND OPEN TO EVERYONE Wednesday & Friday, 10am-4pm Thursday, 10am-7pm Saturday, 12-4pm ArtReach St. Croix 224 North 4th Street, Stillwater, MN 55082 (651) 439-1465 www.artreachstcroix.org FB: @ArtReachSTX | IG: @artreach_stcroix This exhibition is a part of programming at ArtReach St. Croix whose mission is to connect communities and the arts. Imprints - 2026 Autumn Featured Artists CAB Art’s House Gallery We are pleased to welcome the work of three new featured artists to Art’s House Gallery this autumn.
