writer Laurie Allmann

We are thrilled to present poet Laurie Allmann on our next “Live! from North Woods and Waters.” Local poet Laurie Allmann will share new works inspired by nature in the St. Croix watershed. As this year’s Artist-in-Residence, Laurie has been writing new works inspired by the St. Croix watershed as well as connecting with youth and adults to help them tell their own unique stories. Laurie brings a particular magic to her presentations, rooted in her own love of this place.

St. Croix Select

The St. Croix River Valley watershed is rich with human history, natural history, and culture. St. Croix Select features a carefully curated list of books that highlight and celebrate these themes.

Artist-in-Residence Program

We’re excited to announce the launch of NWW’s first Artist-in-Residence program! This year, St. Croix Valley-based writer and poet Laurie Allmann will hold writing mentorships, poetry readings, storytelling events, and more.
