"Summertime Joy" Exhibition

Featuring selections from Virginia Randolph Bueide’s beguiling “Passage” and “Picnic” series, and the joyful florals of Carmen Duran, this lively exhibit embraces the color and warmth of summertime. Color of Structure

In Color of Structure, the world looks different. Beth Dorsey weaves deconstructed images into new artworks. Sarah Lilja’s photographs bring unique perspectives on otherwise forgotten places. Madeleine Kaudy explores the ideas of time and memories through installation and collage. Michael Slagle deconstructs topographical maps, reassembling them into an image of another object. Together, they ask us to reimagine the world around us, through ideas of time, experience, and deconstruction. CAB 2026 Annual Member Show - Non-Juried Call for Art!

Art’s House Gallery is thrilled to host its third CAB Annual Member Show Thursday, June 18 to Friday, July 31, 2026. This show is open to all active CAB members and will be a visible feast of eclectic art of all media types from painting and pottery to glass, photography, and art to wear. If you are an existing CAB Member and are interested in showing your art, sign up here. The sign-up deadline is Friday, June 5th at 11:45 pm. CAB’s mission to foster the arts in and around our beautiful River Falls community - from Art on the Kinni to Music in the Park - relies on the varied financial and volunteer support of our members (you can become a member here). CAB members not only support local arts, many of them are artists themselves. The CAB Annual Member Show is a great opportunity to showcase a variety of artistic styles and media at all levels of artistic expression. Come show your support for our CAB artists! Art’s House Gallery & Gift Boutique offers unique local art and gifts year round, and the CAB Annual Member Show will be open through the Kinnistock Music Festival and River Falls Days. Unforgotten Washington County Stories from the Korean War

Presented by Washington County Parks at Washington County Historic Courthouse Stillwater, MN

The Korean War (1950–1953) is often called the “Forgotten War,” overshadowed by World War II that ended just five years earlier. But in Washington County, it is anything but forgotten. Eleven local men were killed in action during the war, and their stories continue to live on in the memories of families, friends, and the community they left behind. Their service, sacrifice, and experiences form a powerful chapter in our shared history. Visit the Washington County Historic Courthouse to explore an exhibit that brings these stories to life.

Sustainable Sewing Workshop (CANCELLED)

This is an ideas class versus a hands-on class. Participants are invited to bring favorite clothes for mending or upcycling ideas, but the instructor will focus ideas on how to: Make clothing in your closet go further by mending, patching, or upcycling. Make the best use of thrift stores – not only clothing, but fabric and materials throughout the store. Find materials now that JoAnn’s is gone. The instructor will provide lists of sources, including the Stashery at the Textile Center and places for fabric garage sales. Find free patterns on the internet. The instructor will bring samples for the class to see and enjoy. The registration link will be provided by mid-April. Kris Livingston has loved sewing since childhood. She has over 30 years of professional experience working in theater costume design, custom home furnishings, and children’s applique for retail, as well as a teacher. Reverent Attention & The Poetry of Noticing: A 3-Day Eco-Writing Paddle

Join Zoë Fay-Stindt and Jessica Turtle for a three-day outdoor adventure, paddling and camping along the pristine Namekagon River. Enjoy quiet writing time, playful moments, naturalist education, delicious camp-cooked meals, and summer campfires under the stars with new friends. Zoë Fay-Stindt, an award-winning queer poet and essayist, will guide you through a land-based writing experience rooted in paying attention to ecosystems, cultivating care-full awareness, and embracing a slower pace. Jessica Turtle, Master Naturalist, artist, and owner of Treehaus Studio and Paddlefish Adventures, will serve as your river guide and camp chef. With years of paddling and camping experience, she excels at creating welcoming riverside camps and preparing delicious meals to accommodate all dietary needs. Open to all adults (18+) and writers of all levels. Advanced paddlers preferred; beginners are welcome and encouraged to take a river paddling lesson with Paddlefish Adventures before the adventure starts. Friday, June 19th through Sunday, June 21st What to expect: Land-based reflective, generative writing prompts throughout each day, all rooted in the practice of giving attention to our ecosystems, care-full awareness, and slowing down Ecopoetry and land-based readings Guest naturalist talks to inform our noticing and writing practices with place-based wisdom about the ecosystems we're paddling through Grounded, quiet writing time in an intimate and reflective setting, with room for play and experimentation.
