"Summertime Joy" Exhibition
Presented by Hudson Art Gallery at Hudson Art Gallery Hudson, WI
Featuring selections from Virginia Randolph Bueide’s beguiling “Passage” and “Picnic” series, and the joyful florals of Carmen Duran, this lively exhibit embraces the color and warmth of summertime. Viewers are invited to slow down and reconnect with the natural world through childlike wonder and happy memories of summers gone by. All proceeds from sales, net of expenses, are donated for the benefit of general programming at The Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, WI. This event is free and open to the public. CAB 2026 Annual Member Show - Non-Juried Call for Art!

Art’s House Gallery is thrilled to host its third CAB Annual Member Show Thursday, June 18 to Friday, July 31, 2026. This show is open to all active CAB members and will be a visible feast of eclectic art of all media types from painting and pottery to glass, photography, and art to wear. If you are an existing CAB Member and are interested in showing your art, sign up here. The sign-up deadline is Friday, June 5th at 11:45 pm. CAB’s mission to foster the arts in and around our beautiful River Falls community - from Art on the Kinni to Music in the Park - relies on the varied financial and volunteer support of our members (you can become a member here). CAB members not only support local arts, many of them are artists themselves. The CAB Annual Member Show is a great opportunity to showcase a variety of artistic styles and media at all levels of artistic expression. Come show your support for our CAB artists! Art’s House Gallery & Gift Boutique offers unique local art and gifts year round, and the CAB Annual Member Show will be open through the Kinnistock Music Festival and River Falls Days. The “Meet the Artists” reception for this show will be held on Thursday, June 25 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Please stop in and explore the history of our waters. We have nearly 1300 photos playing on 5 screens of Steamboats, Towboats, Logging, Ferries, Bridges, and general river history. Artifacts from the St. Croix river bottom. Real equipment from the towboats industry. Models from early 1900s vessels. A river fire in Hastings, MN. What is a wing dam? The history of the Prescott Spinner Company from 1920 to early 1940s is on display. Pilot licenses, stories, articles and more. And next summer 2026 we will continue our successful River History Speaker series, all 5 this summer were smash hits, the only thing our attendees asked for was more. So next summer we hope to offer 8 speakers to our offerings for Friday nights. And who knows what will come in the door tomorrow as people continue to bring us more items, stories, and more river related materials.

REFUGEE VOICES: An Evening with Author Kao Kalia Yang

Kao Kalia Yang—best-selling author, teacher and poet—will speak at Trinity at 6:30pm. She will address her journey as a refugee, her latest book which explores a young Hmong-American’s search for a true home, and the importance of welcoming refugees. Yang is the author of the acclaimed The Late Homecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir, The Song Poet, as well as a wide array of adult, young adult, and children’s books. Her works have won seven Minnesota Books Awards, among other honors. She is a McKnight Arts Fellow and a frequent lecturer. The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6:00 with seating on a first come, first served basis. Yang’s talk will be followed by a Q&A session and a book signing with books available through Valley Booksellers. The Trinity Missions team thanks the Stillwater Public Library and Stillwater Public Library Foundation for helping to sponsor this program.

Dubuque Rendezvous! a cooler world gathering will be a cultural platform, community gathering and climate forum in Dubuque, Iowa in June 2026. Featuring a month-long exhibition of outdoor sculpture installations and a four-day festival from June 25 – 28, Dubuque Rendezvous! will present performance projects, community events, exhibitions, exchanges, presentations, and public forums. Programming will emphasize environmental awareness, cultural communication, climate sustainability and collaborative inspiration. Participation is invited locally, nationally and across the Mississippi River watershed. All events will be free and open to the public.
