Go on a voyage to the rivers of our past and hear the fascinating tales of long-ago steamboats! The Virginia first braved the Mississippi in 1923 when it reached St. Paul, with the Palmyra entering the St. Croix in 1838 with a trip to what is now St. Croix Falls. From invention, to innovation, immigration, and navigation, take a river cruise with former river pilot Dallas Eggers as he brings our steamboat history to life.

Artist-in-Residence Program
We’re excited to announce the launch of NWW’s first Artist-in-Residence program! This year, St. Croix Valley-based writer and poet Laurie Allmann will hold writing mentorships, poetry readings, storytelling events, and more.
